Privacy notice for this website

This notice covers faybex.com - this marketing site and its contact form. If you have a Faybex account, the personal data in the product is covered by a separate and much fuller document: the Faybex privacy policy.

Draft pending legal review. This is a plain description of what the site actually does, written from its source. It has not yet been reviewed by a qualified adviser, so treat the lawful-basis and retention statements below as our current understanding rather than settled legal positions.

Who is responsible

Faybex is the controller for the data described here. For anything in this notice - including a request to see, correct or delete your data - email info@faybex.com.

What this site collects

  • What you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, your company if you choose to give it, and your message. Nothing else is collected from the form, and there is no hidden field capturing anything beyond a spam trap that only automated submissions fill in.
  • Technical data needed to serve the page: our host processes request metadata such as your IP address and user agent in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • No analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies. This site sets no cookies of its own. It loads no third-party script other than the bot-protection widget on the contact form, and it does not profile you or build an audience from your visit. The one thing it stores on your device is your light/dark preference, in your browser's local storage, so the page does not change under you on the next visit. It never leaves your device.

What happens to a contact-form message

The form posts to our own API, which checks it, then relays it by email to info@faybex.com with the reply address set to yours. It goes to a mailbox a person reads. It is not added to a mailing list, not fed into a CRM, and not passed to anyone else to sell you something.

Our lawful basis

  • Answering your enquiry: our legitimate interest in replying to someone who has asked us a question, or the steps taken at your request before entering a contract where you are asking about buying.
  • Keeping the site up and unabused: our legitimate interest in the security and availability of our own website.

Who else processes it

  • Cloudflare - hosts this site, runs the API that receives the form, and provides the Turnstile bot-protection widget. Request metadata and the submission itself pass through Cloudflare's network.
  • Resend - delivers the relayed enquiry email to our mailbox. It processes your name, email address and message as the content of that email.
  • Zoho Mail - provides the mailbox the enquiry lands in, and so stores the message while we hold it.

That is the complete list for this site. The product uses a wider set, each named with what it can process, on the trust and security page.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for up to 12 months so we can pick up the conversation where it left off, then delete it. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.

Where it goes

Some of the providers above operate outside the UK and the EU, so an enquiry may be processed in a third country. Confirming the transfer mechanism for each of them is an open item on our legal review, and we would rather say that than assert a mechanism we have not yet documented.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our processing it. Email info@faybex.com and we will deal with it. You can also complain to your data protection authority - in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes

If this notice changes materially we will update the date below rather than change it quietly.
